The Domestication project was were we got to learn about dogs. We were all able to make up a question then our teacher would refine them and we would have a list to pick what we would want to do. We all learned about mitosis and miosis while we were doing are projects. While we were learning about domestication we could really learn about our own projects from our own dogs.
My project was about dogs energy levels based on there breeds. I thought that dogs had roughly the same energy level because they are all dogs. I picked this project because it was something I was actually intrested in and wondred about. I wish I could tested more dogs to get more information.
I collected data by taking one dog at a time out and running, hiking, and playing with them. Why I would be testing them I would be timing and doing observational data collection. When we get home I see how there daily lives change, do they go straight to bed or do they carry on with there normal lives .
I found out that breed really does matter. We have a 13 year old golden retriever that actually had way more energy then our two 4 year old bloodhound and nufie/poodle. When we got home the golden retriever still wanted to go out side and play while the two 4 year olds just went straight to there beds and past out for the rest of the day. It was really surprising to me because a 13 year old totally just beat two 4 year olds.
